As mentioned in the previous page (picture1), Richard Mosse has a theme with his photographs which is the conflict that happened in Congo. This image was not taken intentionally. Richard thought that this photograph was a failure, but it made him embrace the work he had done and to keep trying and not give up easily. The photograph is now a limited edition photo. The main message behind this eye - catching piece of art is also about the war problems in Congo. The image contains the colours, crimson, hot pink and etc which represents the western imagination. Overall, the deep message behind this photograph is the the war happening and the problems Congo has faced.
